Buckskin Ben was born in the 1850s and entertained audiences with his family throughout the United States and foreign countries for over forty years as Buckskin Ben's Wild West Dog and Pony Show.
Charles L. Newcomb was born near Hagerstown, Indiana and earned his living by painting scenic pictures in public buildings and private homes. Although he worked in other states and large cities, he always returned home to his roots. These beautiful murals were painted in the Hagerstown Odd Fellows building.
